Abstract: Familial Mediterranean fever is an inherited disorder which causes episodes of severe pain and fever lasting a few days and then recurring shortly afterward. Joints, peritoneal and pleural spaces are primarily affected displaying acute inflammation and an influx of neutrophils into the inflamed area.
