Erratum to 'Surface temperature effects in dissociative adsorption: D2/Cu(111)' {Surface Science 314 (1994) L843}

Due to a computational error the results presented in Fig. 2 in Ref. [1] are wrong. The correct results are shown below. Fig. 3 remains unchanged. The conclusion drawn from the erroneous results in Ref. [1], that the experimental findings about surface temperature effects in dissociative adsorption cannot reproduced if only normal recoil is considered, is no longer justified. The implications of the corrected results will be treated in a forthcoming paper. I like to thank George Darling and Stephen Holloway for informing me about their own results which led to the discovery of the error.
