Analytische Diskussion des Austauschs von Kohlendioxid zwischen Atmosphäre und Ozean an Hand eines Advektions-Diffusions-Modells

Eine analytische Behandlung des Kohlenstoffaustauschs zwischen der Atmosphare und der Oberflachenschicht des Meeres sowie zwischen dieser und der Tiefsee wird vorgestellt. Anhand der daraus gewonnenen Ergebnisse wird diskutiert, inwieweit die Festlandbiota (im Rahmen der bisher konstruierten Ozeanmodelle) als Quelle oder als Senke fur zusatzliches atmospharisches CO2 in Frage kommen. Auserdem werden die Auswirkungen verschiedener Szenarien des fossilen Kohlenstoffinputs auf den CO2-Gehalt der Atmosphare fur die nachsten Jahrzehnte abgeschatzt. An analytical treatment of carbon exchange processes between the atmosphere and the surface layer of the oceans as well as between the latter and the deep sea is presented. With the results obtained it is discussed to which extent the terrestrial biota may as a source or a sink for additional atmospheric CO2 (within the framework of hitherto constructed ocean models). An assessment is made of the effect of different scenarios for the fossil carbon inbut on the CO2 content of the atmosphere for the coming decades.
