Abstract
- The usage of FPGA technology for cellular automata implementation is analyzed. The universal way of cellular automata rule parameterization and the approach of parameterized implementation of one-dimensional cellular automata are proposed. The way of hardware implementation of cryptographic hash functions using cellular automata is discussed. The software and hardware versions of cellular automata were developed. The comparison of performance and resource estimation for both implementations is done. The FPGA-based case-study is developed.
