Abstract: Infrared absorption spectroscopy provides very high sensitivity and specificity. Report on infrared fibers including chalcogenide photonic crystal fibers and progress on a novel Anti-Reflection Surface Structure (ARSS) technique for reducing surface reflection will be presented.
