Abstract
- Low temperature magnetoresistance in multi-wall carbon nanotubes prepared by d.c. arc discharge, has been studied. Those tubes show a highly distributed electrical resistance from metallic to semi-insulating conductors. No evidence for the exponential behavior is found down to 1 K, but temperature dependence of the power law is found to be clear as the conductance is reduced. We discuss these observations to try to fit Tomonaga-Luttinger theory for one-dimensional conductor.
