Cordyceps brunneapunctata sp. nov. infecting beetle larvae in Thailand

Abstract

Cordyceps brunneapunctata is described from elaterid beetle larvae buried in forest soils in Thailand where it is found associated with a Hirsutella state. Isolations were made from ascus part-spores, conidia and from hyphal material within the host and all grew in an identical manner.
