Abstract
- An automatic procedure is developed to extract the water content in lungs based on the computerized tomography (CT) scans of the human torso. Image processing techniques such as watershed segmentation are used to isolate the lungs from rest of the organs in the torso. The water contents of 60 sets (patients) of CT scans are calculated with a mean values similar to the values in the literature.
