Abstract

s / Placenta 35 (2014) A1eA112 A42 uterine loop arteries were isolated to assess vascular function ex vivo using wire myography. The constriction response to phenylephrine (PE, 10-5M) and the endothelium-dependent relaxation response to acetylcholine (Ach, 10-9 e10-5M) were evaluated. All data are expressed as mean±SEM; statistical analysis was performed using unpaired t test or two-way ANOVA. Result: Data (treated vs untreated) confirmed that melatonin supplementation increased WT fetal weights (1.21±0.01 vs 1.15±0.02; grams, p 20 weeks (FD rate of 1.6/1000). The incidence of pPROM was similar (0.5% vs 0.0%, in LPAPP-A and the normal group respectively, p1⁄4ns).
