Externalizing Symptoms predict Suicidal Thoughts and Behaviors in Youth despite Parent-Child Informant Discrepancies

This study will investigate the significance of parent- and child-reports on a child's externalizing symptoms and suicidal thoughts and behaviors (STBs). We plan to assess the concordance in reports of externalizing symptoms and STBs and to explore the power of parent-reported externalizing symptoms to predict child-reported STBs above and beyond parent-reported STBs themselves.
