Abstract

(FWHM). The pulses were much wider than the theoretical limit. This was caused caused by mechanical instability, andthe difficulties of reproducing an exact cavity length of a large, single shot device. Under certain conditions, the changingindex of refraction of the laser medium led to further pulse lengthening.L INTRODUCTIONWe report active mode-locking of KrF and XeF e-beam pumped lasers. To the best of our knowledge, this is the firstdemonstration of active mode-locking of KrF. Additionally, it is the first time an e-beam pumped excimer has been mode
