Abstract
- Magnetic chitosan microspheres were prepared with reversed-phase suspension methodology using glutaraldehyde as cross-linking reagent for sorption of PFOS. In this study, the SEM image of MCTS showed that it had well-shaped spherical form with smooth surface, and its mean particle size was 4.2 μm from the particle size analyzer. Additionally, the sorption kinetics followed the mechanism of the pseudo-second-order equation, and the magnetic chitosan microspheres had a high sorption amount of 865.95 mg g-1 for PFOS due to the electrostatic interaction.
