Comparison of Dose-Related Efficacy of Torasemide and Furosemide in Patients with Advanced Renal Failure

Torasemide is a new loop diuretic with a linear dose response curve after administration of doses between 2.5 and 80 mg in subjects with normal renal function (1). In the present study, patients with advanced renal failure were studied because pharmacokinetics of potent diuretics are different under these conditions.
