Abstract

A case of giant lipoma of the right breast in a 27-year-old woman is reported. She had noticed a right breast mass 10 years earlier. The mass enlarged slowly and exceeded child head size when she admitted to the hospital. The right breast hanged down to the lumbar level. A soft, movable, well-circumscribed tumor measuring 25×25cm in diameter was detected in her right breast. No only clinical findings but also mammography (MMG), computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) indicated a giant lipoma of the breast and the tumor resected. The resected was well encapsulated, and 27×24×4.5cm (2675g) in size. The section showed segmental and yellow color like fat. Histological diagnosis was lipoma. The giant lipoma of the breast was reviewed and discussed the clinicopathologic differences from liposarcoma or adenolipoma of the breast.
