Effects of agents associated with coal and oil shale extraction, conversion, or utilization on cell-cycle kinetics and on chromatin/chromosome structure. Progress report, July 1--December 31, 1975

A cultured cell model system has been developed which encompasses both proliferating and nonproliferating cell populations. When combined with the unique analytical instrumentation available at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, the system is characterized by low cost, ease and speed of operation, and complete cell accountability. The system will be utilized to study cellular kinetic and structural responses to treatment with hazardous agents associated with coal and oil shale technologies.
