Abstract

The scale model measurements of the field distribution at various distances from the aperture of antennas based on oversized quasioptical waveguides are presented. The goal is to study their characteristics for introducing radiation into the plasma chamber of thermonuclear fusion reactors. It was found that such antennas provide the necessary parameters of the microwave beam (diameter and divergence) without the use of focusing mirrors.
