Specimen Collection and Handling in Microbiology Laboratory

This chapter will discuss proper sample collection, transportation, and storage of various specimens including blood culture, sputum, stool, urine, and various body fluids. How to preserve specimen integrity as well as avoiding pre-analytical errors will also be discussed.
