ChemInform Abstract: Photochemical and Thermal Cyclizations of 4-(2-Azidophenyl)-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-ones for the Synthesis of 4-Methylenepyrimidino[4,5-b]indol-2-ones

The cyclization of azides (I) and (III) proceeds via nitrene electrophilic addition and rearrangement reactions to give fused indole derivatives under both photochemical and thermal conditions.
