Abstract

The simulation of an electro-optical sensor (EOS) of optical radiation from flame combustion and smoldering was carried out as a result of the work. The EOS is part of multi-criteria electro-optical device for monitoring emergency and pre-emergency situations in coal mines. The main analytical dependencies were formulated for the simulation of EOS. A computer model was developed. Checking the adequacy of computer simulation was completed. Simulation of the radiation flux arriving at the entrance pupil of the EOS during the smoldering of coal dust and the flame combustion of a methane-air mixture was carried out, taking into account the influence of the intermediate medium. Spectral ranges from 2.45 to 3.2 μm and 4.3 to 4.6 μm are used to control flame radiation. Spectral range from 3.5 to 4.2 μm is used to control radiation from smoldering. The element base for the assembly of EOS was selected taking into account the data on the spectral transmittance of the intermediate medium.
