Development of Computerized Control System for Applying Pressure to Liquid and Crystallizing Metal

a computerized control system for applying pressure to liquid and crystallizing metal based on industrial controllers was developed. A dedicated instrumentation system to monitor the key process variables is also developed. Appropriate PLCs to control the process were selected. A sequence that compares the current process variables with the target values and makes adjustments as required was also developed. Obtained results apply to the design of computerized control systems for casting with crystallization under pressure processes.
