Abstract

Home automation system has reached popularity due to advancement in communication technology where appliances are controlled over internet. It has been developed to support elderly and disabled people. Smart phones are used to receive input which is processed by Google application. In this system, android has been used to capture input voices which are transferred to Ardunio Uno. The received input signals are processed using Bluetooth interfaced Ardunio Uno which is used to control fan and light using relay module. Android operating system is used to achieve automation. Mobile phone and Bluetooth communication protocol are used to control various devices. Home automation aims to supply improved comfort, convenience and security. It helps the elderly and disabled by providing quality of life instead of requiring caregivers or institutional care.
