Protocol for a systematic scoping review on the development of critical health literacy in children

Understanding how and where children can be supported to develop critical health literacy may improve health outcomes now and in the future. The protocol aims to offer a robust search strategy for facilitating future searches specific to critical health literacy in children, including how critical health literacy in children is conceptualised; the dimensions that constitute it; the features of interventions designed to develop it; and the antecedents to its promotion in settings where children spend time.
