Abstract
- The nucleotide and phosphate anchoring on AlCl 3 -treated mica was found to proceed via phosphate retention on hydroxylated aluminum species. The aluminum-to-phosphate bond is irreversibly formed but can be broken by neutral fluoride without sequestration of the aluminum into the solution. A procedure is given for regeneration of the fluorinated aluminum surface species for nucleotide anchoring.
