Flush mountable K/Ka band amplitude only direction finding system

Two tapered slot antennas (TSAs) are arrayed in H-plane to achieve amplitude only direction-finding over 18–45 GHz range. Moreover, an absorbing cavity is engineered to host TSAs, enable flush-mounting, and improve system performance by decreasing sidelobe level at the low end while improving field-of-view at the high end of the band. Prototype, built using conventional and 3-d printing approaches, is tested and measurements favorably agree with theory.
