Abstract
- This paper proposes and analyzes a two-orbit single server queueing model for cognitive wireless networks with cooperative communication. In our model, two secondary users opportunistically utilize a channel which is originally granted to primary users. If a secondary user cannot occupy the channel it returns to the orbit and retries for server after an exponentially distributed time. The retrial rates of the SUs are coupled. We derive a boundary problem for the joint generating functions of the numbers of jobs in the orbits and the state of the server.
