Abstract
- Various kinds of drugs have been evaluated as aparacetamol antidote; the most important of themis N-acetylcysteine (NAC), which serves as anavailable precursor for glutathione synthesis, thusreplenishing glutathione stores and preventingthe reaction of N-acetyl-p-benzoquinoneimine(NAPQI) with hepatocytes.
