- E-mail: kilee@krict.re.krReceived January 24, 2014, Accepted February 25, 2014Key Words : Asymmetric reduction, β-Chloro ketone, Borane, Spiroborate ester, DuloxetineSerotonin and norepinephrine neurotransmitters are intimatelyinvolved in a number of neurochemical and physiologicalprocesses, such as depression and pain disorders. Selectiveserotonin or norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors are theimportant class of antidepressants, such as fluoxetine, niso-xetine, tomoxetine, and duloxetine featuring the structuralsimilarity of 1-ary-3-aminopropanol.
