Abstract

The Lewis acid catalyzed intramolecular cycloaddition of isoperezone ( 5 ) produced a tricyclic compound containing a new skeleton named β-isopipitzol ( 6 ), perezinone ( 7 ) and dihydroisoperezinone ( 8 ).
