Family Planning in Lebanon

Abstract: The Lebanese Family Planning Association (LFPA) was founded in 1969. It is one of nine associations established in countries of the Middle East and North Africa between 1965 and 1971, and affiliated with the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). The nine countries are: Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Sudan, Morocco, Afghanistan, Iraq and Cyprus. The Family Planning Associations of Bahrain, the Arab Republic of Yemen and the Yemen Democratic Republic joined in 1976.
