Abstract

Ozet Tetrasiklin grubu antibiyotikler, mineralizasyonun yogun oldugu kemik ve dislerin kalsifiye alanlarinda birikerek renk degisikligine ve iskelet gelisim problemlerine neden olabilir. Deride ve dislerde renk degisikligi doksisiklinlerin bilinen bir yan etkisi olmasina ragmen tirnaklarda renk degisikligi cok nadir gorulmektedir. Bu makalede brusella nedeniyle doksisiklin tedavisi alirken el tirnaklarinda renk degisikligi gelisen 17 yasinda bir kiz olgu sunulmaktadir. Although skin and dental discoloration is the most common adverse effect of doxycycline, nail discoloration is rarely seen. In the present case, a 17-year old girl with discoloration of her finger nails was reported during doxycyccline treatment for brucellosis. (J Pediatr Inf 2014; 8: 187-9)
