Abstract: The new orange-emitting title phosphor is synthesized by solid state reaction of stoichiometric mixtures of CaCO3, SnO2, and Sm2O3 (air, alumina crucible, 1400 °C, 4 h) and characterized by powder XRD and photoluminescence spectroscopy.
