Prevention of nosocomial adenoviral keratoconjunctivitis

A literature review of nosocomial cases of adenoviral keratoconjunctivitis was undertaken to identify the preventative measures that could assist ophthalmic teams in minimising the risks associated with management of the infectious patient. In addition to the published actions, the use of surveillance to continually monitor and action changes in trend is advocated as an important preventative measure.
