Abstract
- Proximal humerus fractures and acromioclavicular joint dislocation are the most common reasons for minimally invasive shoulder surgery. A fall (often low energy) is the most common mechanism. The rehabilitation approach that is used for patients following proximal humerus fractures and acromioclavicular joint dislocation differs depending on fracture type, pattern, and surgical approach. The postoperative management of the shoulder is as important as intraoperative care. Although each patient receives an individualized program, the basic goals are the same.
