Testing the Waters: The State of the Geography Standards In Rhode Island

Almost two years after the publication of Geography for Life, states across the nation continue to plan how best to adopt and adapt standards that best meet the state's needs. This article traces the evolution of the state geography standards in Rhode Island and gives a summary of the work accomplished thus far toward implementing the National Geography Standards.
