Abstract
- Palladium encapsulated in zeolite is a promising kind of catalysts for the removal of trace methane emissions due to their unique mass transfer channel and high thermal stability as well as good application prospects. Herein, well-dispersed PdO nanoparticles with suitable surface chemical state are in situ confined in Beta through seed-directed and mercaptosilane-assisted hydrothermal strategy, which is low-cost and environmentally friendly as well as effective. The as-designed catalyst demonstrates prominent CH4 oxidation performance in terms of high activity with a (>) 99% CH4 conversion at 360 °C, a space velocity of 30,000 mL h−1 g−1 and 1 vol% CH4 feed concentration, long-term stability up to 50 h as well as well cyclic life with a low 1 wt% Pd loading.
