Use of CAD Software in Microwave Engineering Courses at Grenoble Polytechnic National Institute

Technological developments in computers, microwave devices and CAD microwave software make it mandatory to review traditional courses involved in teaching microwave engineering and at the same time offers the opportunity to develop new courses which could not be taught in a reasonable manner without those advances. In this paper we describe the development of a new course in the microwave engineering program that we have made at Grenoble Polytechnic National Institute to take advantage of the availability of powerful CAD microwave software.
