Is the Animal Community a Dynamic or a Descriptive (Statistic) Conception?

Most contradictions in ecological research results disappear upon quiet analysis. Most of the controversies and misunderstandings are caused by ambiguous definitions, misunderstandings concerning the same term, or translation of philosophical concepts into nature, where they have no place. Hence we find that the intensity and the dogmatism of earlier and present controversies are usually in reverse proportion to the actual amount of adequate knowledge accumulated. To reduce possible misunderstandings we will here introduce a number of definitions, repeat them or present a few new ones serving in the ensuing discussion.
