Abstract: Purpose: Adaptive changes to acute reduction in renal mass after radical nephrectomy can cause Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) more frequently in patients with renal cancer compared to kidney donors. The aim of this study was to compare changes in Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR) 1-year after radical nephrectomy for cancer vs kidney donation and to identify risk factors for CKD.
