Abstract

The panel flutter on hypersonic vehicle is investigated. Based on third-order local flow piston theory and reference enthalpy method, the aerodynamic force and aerodynamic heat model are established respectively. Taking temperature conduct in the panel and radiation to ambience into account, hierarchical solution process is adopted in time-domain to analyze the flutter character in different flow with thermal effects. The results shows that, the flight height and mach number of the hypersonic vehicle can make notable influence on the flutter frequency, amplitude and starting time. This will support the design of panel structures on hypersonic vehicle.
