s-Domain Stability Analysis of Improved Floating Interleaved Boost Converter

Abstract

This paper presents the stability analysis of Floating Interleaved Boost Converter (FIBC) with zero ripple input current. The poles and zeros operating in continuous conduction mode are obtained. Kirchhoff's voltage and current law concepts are used to obtain voltage and current equations. Laplace transform is applied to deduce the transfer function of the converter. Root locus, Bode plot and Nyquist plots are obtained from MATLAB R2019B and stability is analyzed. Voltage controller is designed to control the output voltage for slight variation in input voltage.
