Abstract
- The present study is based upon previous works on mental imagery and the binocular rivalry protocol. The first aim of this research is to investigate whether the differences between people with typical and atypical mental imagery (aphantasia) can also be found when the reactivation of mental images is involuntary as compared to the classic effects of voluntary mental imagery on perceptual priming. The second aim of this study to adapt and validate this protocol for large-scale studies online - providing an accessible tool for the assessment of visual aphantasia. Note. Pilot experiments will be run before the final study.
