Abstract: This article introduces the basic concepts of Kanji patch antennas. We use two novel L-probe-fed Guo-and Meng-shaped patches operating in circular polarization as examples. The main parameters of these symmetrical and asymmetrical shaped patch antennas were studied and optimized via computer-aided simulation.
