Abstract

Background The functional impact of obesity on abdominal wall strength after abdominally based autologous reconstruction is unknown. The purpose of this study was to determine if obesity alters the postoperative abdominal wall strength profile after autologous reconstruction. Methods We prospectively examined abdominal wall strength and function following autologous breast reconstruction between 2005 and 2010.
