Abstract

In the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, since symptoms appear in and around the oral cavity, we have used tube feeding for post operative nutritional management. Many kinds of enteral nutrients have been developed and put on the market, but had some weak points. In this study, comparison was made between Besvion®and conventional liquid diet with respect to the nutritional state and side effects. It was concluded that Besvion®was a superior product and appropriate as enteral nutrient in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
