Abstract

A new method for the production of a continuously variable high contrast spatial frequency pattern is described. It uses two-beam interference of a laser through a wedge lens. Such patterns are useful for the evaluation of resolving power and Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) of photographic recording materials.
