Abstract
- Cerebral localization of hydatid cyst is rare (2%) and primarily affects children. We report the case of a young child 12 years old. Clinical symptoms are marked by high intracranial pressure. The diagnosis was confirmed by a Brain CT scan that revealed a large cystic parenchymal intraparietal, multiloculated, on the right hemisphere, with a thin wall partially calcified, evoking a hydatid cyst measuring (74x48mm) width (75mm) length the extracerebral localization was sought and w not found. Abdominal ultrasonography found a hydatid cyst of the liver. Hydatid serology was positive. Treatment was surgical, with a good outcome.
