Abstract
- A low-profile top-hat shorted monocone antenna with ceramic loading is proposed. SiO 2 , a kind of ceramic, is first employed as matching layer to improve antenna's matching property and support the antenna's structure. Besides, for further increasing the bandwidth of monocone antenna, top hat and shorting pins are applied to reduce the lowest operating frequency and thus decrease the thickness of the monocone antenna to O.068λ Low . Simulated results show that a 6:1 bandwidth can be obtained.
