Abstract
- In this paper an improved Lab-on-a-Chip device has been proposed for focusing the particle at the center of the channel to separate the desired particles from the main stream at the exit. The design methodology is kept simple and a two fluidic port device with geometric description is proposed. The induced dielectric force responsible for focusing particle is accomplished by means of two electrodes separated by dielectric material. Compared to the previous particle focusing devices; this device provides simple and effective mean of particle focusing with numerical study highlighting the importance of geometric improvements and efficiency.
