Decolonisation of Knowledge in the African University

From 1988 to 1992 I was a professor of education at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) in Tanzania. These years formed a steep learning curve for me and caused me to experience several intellectual shocks. My first shock involved the language issue. I had read that there were 120 languages in Tanzania.
