Abstract

The standard treatment for upper GI perforation is surgical repair. Recent reports have described nonsurgical treatment for small perforations with localized peritonitis.1-7 We report two cases of carcinoid tumor, one at the superior duodenal angle (SDA) and the other in the descending duodenum that were complicated by perforation due to endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and treated successfully by nonsurgical means using a clipping device.
